Danish Oktoberfest

Come enjoy DSC's first ever joint event with our German friends of Hermann Sons as well as Danish Brotherhood!

10:30am-12pm: Folks arrive DSC; drinks (German and Danish beer) and conversation. Dirndls and Trachten encouraged, and will secure a free drink ticket for the wearer. Both German and Danish flags shall fly side-by-side at our Kastania Rd entrance as a sign of friendship and forging a relationship between these two clubs that share a love of fine food, music, dance and good company.

12pm: National Anthems: Raising of German and Danish flags at our clubhouse flagpoles while national anthems are sung.

12:15pm: German food (catered)

12:30pm: Nature Friends Schuhplattler Set 1

1:10pm: Alphorn Duet performance

1:50pm: "Third Schleswig War" Danish/German Dessert Eating Contest. A winking recognition that centuries old disputes are better forgotten and settled by friendship and eating contests. The North Schleswig and South Schleswig flags shall hang as a backdrop to this "mother of all battles" to reclaim the lost territories of the fatherland. The winner will be the first to consume both a German dessert and a Danish dessert and be declared the "war's" victor. There will be a prize.

2:30pm: Nature Friends Schuhplattler Set 2
