Norway Friendship/Denmark Constitution Day (+ catered BBQ luncheon)

This promises to be the first ever joint event between Danish Soldiers Club and the vaunted Norwegian Club of SF. In honor of DSC’s guests, the Norwegian and Danish flags will both proudly fly side-by-side from DSC's two flagpoles on Kastania Rd. In addition, the noon flag-raising will feature both the Norwegian and Danish national anthems.

Honored Guest Speaker:
We are delighted to announce that the chaplain of the Norwegian Seaman's Church of San Francisco, Jon Olav Berg Hjelde, has generously offered to deliver a thirst-inducing PowerPoint presentation on the history of (and differences between) Norwegian and Danish aquavit!

Rumor has it there may be a “Norway Platter” featuring small portions of:
Lutefisk (Norway’s unique delicacy)
Fårikål (Norway’s national dish)
Ski Queen (Norway’s most unique cheese)

There will be a Norwegian/Danish trivia contest with Scandinavian gift baskets and Viking cakepops.
